Music Video Finale

P3T3 Thriller from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

Hello my lovely friends, and welcome to another post about ME!! My fabulous team and I, (that would be Alexis ChatfieldChristina Kaiwi and Kaile McKeown check out their blogs here!) are making an awesome video to Thriller by Michael Jackson, but wait! Why is this post so important? It is the last post for the year!!!! (crying) However don't worry I will still be in GT next year! YAY!!!!

Our storyline is about a girl and she goes walking alone in the woods. She sees a bunch of creatures in the bushes and she is very scared. Then the creatures come to her and she sees that they are ZOMBIES! She tries to scream, but they cover her mouth and turn her into a zombie. Then a bunch of other zombies come and they all dance the Thriller dance. The four zombies (Alexis, Kaile, Christina, and ME!) all turn more people into zombies, and look for more. Our storyline matches the song because the song is about creepy thing lurking around being scary and scaring innocent humans. That is basically what our storyline is about.

My favorite fast edit montage sequence is during the part where the song says, "you try to scream, but terror takes the sound before you make it" during that we put Kaile standing next to a tree, the my hand covers her mouth. it then repeats in different filter. It looks really cool and scary and I enjoyed making it look good and picking out the fun visual effects. In fact I had a ton of fun making the whole video. I had a ton of fun working on the plan, and doing the makeup (We all did some makeup but I was in charge of it because I have a TON of costume makeup.) I also had a lot of fun filming and putting the whole FABULOUS thing together. we had so much fun exploring the visual effects, transitions, and much more of iMovies secrets. This so far was my favorite project of the whole year.

This music video showcases my best work because I really tried my absolute best, and I was working on the editing with Alexis and we both are pretty good at editing. We really tried hard to make each second of the video perfect and flawless (like us) (; and to really make it shine with different visual effects. Then of course there is Kaile's and Christina's FABULOUS work on the photoshop documents (great job you guys!) Making the look spectacular! YAY! I really think that this project shows our best work out of the entire school year. I am extremely proud of my whole team and myself, and I believe that if we just keep trying harder and learning more we could do even better projects in the future.

Michael Jackson – Thriller Lyrics

It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking
In the dark
Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops
Your heart
You try to scream, but terror takes the sound before
You make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between
The eyes
You're paralyzed

'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one's gonna save you from the beast about to
Strike
You know it's thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer
Thriller tonight

You hear the door slam and realize there's nowhere
Left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see
The sun
You close your eyes and hope that this is just
Imagination
But all the while you hear the creature creepin' up
Behind
You're out of time

'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
There ain't no second chance against the thing with
Forty eyes
You know it's thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer
Thriller tonight

Night creatures call
And the dead start to walk in their masquerade
There's no escapin' the jaws of the alien this time
(They're open wide)
This is the end of your life

Animated Life Lessons

P3T4 Klutz Practices Ballet from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

Hello Friends and followers! this post is all about my new project and my fantastic team of Nicholas and Jhoanna Jhoanna Marie Domingo and Nicholas Koo. Check out their blogs here!

My teams traits are that Jhoanna is clumsy and Nicholas is overly helpful. I am extremely stubborn. Their traits are shown by having Jhoanna be the very clumsy ballet student, while Nicholas helps her too much and does not improve his own work. I am the stubborn ballet teacher who thinks Jhoanna can't succeed in the project because she is clumsy.

The humor in our story is how Jhoanna is always falling, and failing while she's dancing. The life lesson is to always believe in yourself, and never let yourself think you can't do it. This applies to everyone because everyone should believe in themselves. This is a meaningful, powerful message that everyone should listen to, and follow. Another message was to never give up on your dreams and always support our friends.

Since my team has never worked together before, this project was very difficult. I admit I did argue A LOT with my teammate Nicholas. First, when we were drawing our storyboard, he did not like the way I drew his nose. I said that it was a perfectly fine nose and that he was mad for no reason. He said it was to big. Another time was when we were working on some of our first frames and he did not like the position I put him in. I yelled that we needed to get it done. One of our biggest fights was somehow about a cat and whose cat they drew was better, and which one we were going to use. In the end we decided to use mine (since it was so fabulous!) and we stopped fighting (for now!) (;

Goodbye everyone who loves reading about me (because I'm so awesome!) and see you next time! And if you're interested, check out my fantastic teams blogs. Farewell, and goodbye! (:

Character Developement

Hello my loyal readers! I have just started a brand new project. So sit back, relax, and read about it!

Some of my not exactly perfect traits are that I am very, VERY forgetful. For example, say you tell me something at the beginning of the day. Later in the day, you then you remind me. I will stare at you like you are crazy then say, "What?"

Another one of my imperfections is that I am very stubborn. I always want to be right, even if I know I am wrong. I also tend to get angry fast and easily.

I plan to exaggerate the fact that I am extremely stubborn as the stubborn ballet teacher in my teams project, Klutz Practices Ballet. I assign the ballet students a project to make their own dance and if it is not completely perfect, I make them start all over and redo the whole thing, remake the entire dance. Jhoanna, one of my partners, plays the role of the clumsy ballet student who just can't get the moves right. Nicolas, my other partner, plays the role of a overly helpful person who helps Jhoanna so much, he barely has time to do his own project.

To create my .GIF character, I first had my picture taken in front of the green screen. Then, I used the trusty quick selection tool to cut out my body. After that I used the puppet tool and move my body, then put in a background. I like my .GIF because I am proud that I made it.

.MOV Film Festival

P3T7 Blondes Think Big from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.
Embed Final Cut, Visual Plan & 3 Behind Scenes
Hello Everyone! Today I have a whole NEW project to talk about! I will be telling you about our new video project. My team is Alexis and Danielle and they are AWESOME! Here are some links to their blogs if your interested...Danielle Gunn and Alexis Chatfield.

Our keywords connect to our audience because they describe our story. If our keywords were stuff like monkey and ice cream they wouldn't work, because they would not DESCRIBE our story. This is important because they can't be random crazy things because then that would not make sense at all. Your audience needs a sense of your story from looking at your keywords. Your keywords need to go with the theme of your story, and work with your story. My keywords will connect to the audience, because they show that our sitcom is very funny, interesting, and fun. They are sort of like a description of our story because they relate to it.

Our overall message for our story is basically don't judge a book by its cover. In our story a nosy news reporter judges blondes for being blonde. This erupts into a crazy daydream in Alexis's mind with blondes doing crazy, laugh out loud actions involving bananas, balloons and more. Eventually the news reporter learns her lesson when Alexis tells her to let blondes be themselves and not judge them for the color of their hair. The news reporter learned a very important lesson that day. Don't judge a book by it's cover!

The biggest challenge overall was schedules. We are all very, very busy. Almost every day I go to swim practice, and Alexis goes to gymnastics pretty much every day. Danielle is also very busy a lot to. We all had to figure out one day where everyone was completely free so Alexis's mom could pick us up after school. We finally settled on Tuesday where we all could film in various places. Another big challenge was location. We had to spend a lot of time deciding where to film the shots and what should go where and so on. We also had to gather all of our props like, bananas, balloons, and a tree.

Anyways, that's all for today. Don't cry, I know you will miss me terribly, but I'll be back with a new story for you. Until next time, bye everyone!

Tiny Spherical Worlds

Hi everybody! I'm back, and I have a whole new project to talk about. Today I will be telling you about Polar and Spherical panoramas.

Composite images are interesting and its nice to have different creative varieties of pictures. There is nothing wrong with taking one photo of something instead of a bunch of different ones and putting them together, but it is nice to have an option. Imagine if there was only one way to take a photo. That would get pretty boring wouldn't it? Also they are interesting to look at and fun to make. Maybe you prefer regular photos, but a lot of people enjoy making composite images. There are many different interesting varieties of photos, and that, itself is very interesting.

One difference between polar and spherical panoramas is that one is like a tiny world, and the other is like a crystal ball that you are looking into. Another difference is that when you are creating a spherical in Photoshop, there is one step that you don't do, unlike when you create a polar which you have to do the step. (The step is rotating the image, if you were wondering.) One more is spherical is more like you are looking at a tiny world, while polar is more like you are in your own tiny world.

My tiny worlds will be convincing because, I will work very hard not to have anything on top but sky. This is important because if you have a tree on top then it could ruin your outer space effect. I will also make sure that I take them at a vertical angle so it is better quality, and works, and functions better.. I will also work hard on editing and using the clone stamp. Also, I will make sure that the horizon line is in the exact middle so my world is not to big or to small, but just right! if your horizon line is on top, your panorama will be too big, and if it at the bottom, it will be to small. I will also make sure my portrait is done right so it looks good, and is good quality.

Well, thats all for now. See you next time!

Hockney Style Joiners

Hi everyone! This time I will be talking about David Hockney. If you don't know who David Hockney is, I will tell you. David Hockney is a famous photographer, painter, and more. A few facts about him are. He was born on July 9 1937, he is 78, and was born in Bridlington, United Kingdom. Hockney does a type of photography called photomontages. Now I will tell you how his photomontages are different from mine.

Here is a link to Alexis's blog
                My photomontage of Alexis Chatfield

One reason why his photomontages are different from mine is we take pictures of different things. He usually does people and I like to do people, but also nature, and more. The photo aboveis a self portrait of himself. That is an example of a photomontage. One other difference is since he is so experienced, his are better quality. I just started doing photomontages, so mine are not as good, but I am working on it!

My final photomontage of Star Wars movies one, two, and three.

One example of how images can send of positive or negative messages, is with lighting and shadow. For example, people can feel certain ways, depending on the shadows, if the picture is dark, or if the picture is filled with light. You can experience strong moods from just looking at a picture. Another example is the subject. If your subject is a positive thing, you could instantly feel positive or happy. However, if the subject is a negative thing, you could feel negative. One more thing is you. Certain people feel certain moods for different things. I you happen to love a certain thing, then looking at a picture of it will make you feel positive. Also, if you happen to dislike something than you would get negative messages from it.

With my final photomontage, I wanted you to get a sense of me. I wanted you to know that my subject was meaningful to me. My subject was the Star Wars movies. This subject is meaningful to me because my dad grew up loving Star Wars and he passed down that love to me. Star Wars is now a part of my life. I love it, and I always will, no matter what. They are my favorite movies, and in my opinion, they are awesome.

Well, thats all for now. See you next time! Bye!

2016 Aspirations

Hi everyone! Happy new year! I hope you had a great winter break, a awesome Christmas
, and an fantastic, firework filled New Year! Here are some of my goals for the new year.

One of my goals for the new year is to be more organized. If you know me, you know that I am not very organized! Another goal of mine is to be the best person I can be. I want to be more helpful and positive all the time so people around me will be the same. One other goal is to keep getting strait A's and work as hard as I can to get them. I also want to make a lot of new friends for the new year! I want to have new friends so I can meet new people, and that can help me and other people be more happy. I also want be even more happy than I already am, so more people around me will be happy too! New Year, New Me!

The most important goal to me is to be more organized. As I said I am not organized. But, I want to change. A lot of times I forget things, or lose things, but if I am more organized, I can stop that. I can get things done faster and more efficiently. My things will be neater, and I will try to be a lot less forgetful. Since I will get things done neatly and faster, I will be more happy, one of my other goals. My supplies for school, and other things will be neat and each have its own place,so I can find everything easier, faster, and better. I can get more things done in time, and I won't take as much time to do, or find things if everything is where its supposed to be. I will do my homework earlier, and better, when I know where things are.

To fulfill my goals, I will try very hard. I will work as hard and as best as I can to make sure I complete my goals. I will make sure I am doing thing right and to my best ability. I will strive for success and do what ever I can to complete my goals. To be more organized I will make my things neat, try to be less forgetful, and write things that I need to do down on a piece of paper. To be more happy all the time, I will be positive and optimistic, and make other people happy too. To keep getting strait A's I will study even more than I already do, and work even harder. And to make more friends I will approach people I don't know and be friendly.

Happy New Year everyone!!!! Thats all for now. Bye!
